Maguire, DiCaprio, and Other Celebs Sued Over Illegal Poker Game


We all know that Poker is one of the most favorited casino game by a handful of hollywood celebrities, other iconic people and even regular people. It's really mind-bloggling that thrills poker players and eye-catching pot prizes and side games that caught people's attention to playing this game. It already have different kinds of variations including Texas Hold'em, Omaha, and a lot more.

As the saying goes, "Blame The Game, Not The Player." This past few weeks the netizens was shook by a really curious news that makes almost five of the industry's best has been sued of operating and playing an illegal poker matches and winning a whole lot of bucks. Some of the celebrities that are involved in this poker gambling ring are Tobey Maguire, Ben Affleck, Alex Rodriguez, Matt Damon and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Accused in playing in the same illegal poker ring is the star of New York Yankees, Alex Rodriguez or known as A-Rod. According to the said suit, the Yankees star player 'came to the game and simply watched. But once he knew what it was all about, he bought into the game. He played two or three times, I would estimate,' said the source to Star Magazine. Poker Player Adam Bilzerian also told both magazine, RadarOnline and Star that he 'was surprised to see just how good a poker player Alex is. A-Rod won a bunch of money.'

The American actor, producer and former Spider-Man star, Tobey Maguire, has found himself in a really sticky situation. Maguire was sued for winning a High-Stake Poker series which was done in exclusive hotels like The Beverly Hills Hotel and the Four Seasons Hotel. The lawsuit against the accused stems from the actor's connection to Bradley Ruderman, the Ponzi-schemer and the CEO of the Ruderman Capital Partners.

According to the lawsuit filed against the stars: "As part of the scheme, funds invested in (Brad Ruderman) were transferred to persons such as Defendant who received the funds on account of Ruderman's gambling losses and on account of Defendant's gambling winnings." Tobey Maguire "isn't entitled to receive money transfers from the Debtor, which transfers were comprised of improperly-diverted investor funds."

Tobey's answer to the suit filed against him he told that the Texas Hold'em Poker games were not controlled games that requires the host of the game a license. Maguire also denies that he was part of any scheme to defraud anyone. Although he admitted to be a part of these poker matches but denies that he was in the regular players which consist of wealthy celebs, businessmen, entrepreneurs and attorneys.

I could not believe these four hunky actors play casino in illegal ways?! Maybe they're just rumors? After all, they have all the money to play legitimately right?
